CFB Easy Money – Week 9 Lock

IOWA STATE vs TEXAS TECH – PREVIEW & PREDICTION

We are past the halfway point in the 2018 College Football season and some things never change! Alabama rolls the SEC, Wisconsin disappoints in their playoff pursuit, and Texas Tech lights up the scoreboard.

TTU ranks 7th in the nation averaging 44 points per game. The Red Raiders’ passing offense has been elite ever since Kliff Kingsbury was named the Head Coach and this season his team has scored +41 points in 5 of their last 6 games plus a minimum of 58 total points in all of their games, but ONE! The next opponent for TTU is against the Iowa State Cyclones this Saturday at 11:00 ET in Ames, IA.

Iowa State got off to a slow start this season, but they’re coming in hot on a two game winning streak with upsets over Oklahoma State and giving West Virginia their first loss of the year. ISU has been a low scoring team until two weeks ago when the Cyclone’s true freshman, Brock Purdy, took over and has the offense clicking for Matt Campbell’s team. Iowa State is averaging 39 points after their QB change and the chances of them continuing that is “Purdy” good. Homecoming week will have the fans in Jack Trice Stadium rocking all day long in this classic BIG 12 shootout.

The Cyclones’ offense is underrated and matching up against the Red Raiders’ passing attack sets up for a high scoring affair. Iowa State is favored by 3.5 points, but I see the value in the OVER/UNDER of 56 points.

CHUCK’S LOCK: OVER 56 TOTAL POINTS

Prediction: Iowa State 38 Texas Tech 35

[Record Against The Spread: 1-0] – Last weeks lock was OVER 62 points between Oklahoma & TCU. Final Score: OU 52 TCU 27
